Adv. KPS Vasantha holds a Master’s degree with a specialization in Business Law from ILS Law College, Pune. Ms. Vasantha was the Winner of the Herbert Smith Freehills Community Engagement Award 2019, conducted by Herbert Smith Freehills Law Firm, England. She was selected for the Child Rights Clinical Exchange Program conducted by the University of New South Wales-Sydney, Australia in the year 2019.  Prior to joining Equilibrio Advisory LLP, Ms. Vasantha worked as a Teaching Associate for 2 years in CMR University, School of Legal Studies where she as the faculty convenor for the Centre for Gender Justice & Law and Alternate Dispute Resolution, has conducted and participated in various national seminars and conferences on areas such as “Protecting Gender Identity and LGBTQI+ Community”, “Protection of Gender Identity and LGBTQIA+ Community: Myth & Reality of Legal Enforcement”, “Human Rights of the Marginalized Groups: Awareness & Sensitization Programme for Youth”, among others.

She has also worked as a legal advisor at the All India Human Rights Association, Bengaluru where she has conducted legal awareness activities in government schools on constitutional fundamental rights, child rights and human rights. She has also assisted the association in conducting client counselling sessions. Her keen interest in the Human Rights in India and Child and Women Rights as Human Rights have helped her in writing and presenting legal research papers on topics such as, “Changing Gender Perspective Via Judicial Interpretation”, “Human Rights of Children: Constitutional Perspective”, “Socio-Legal Review on the impact of Maternal Health on Child Development in the Slums of India”, among others.

During her association with an NGO called SCAN- Goa (Stop Child Abuse Now), she was actively involved in assisting the members of the Juvenile Justice Board, Goa Children’s Court and the Victim Assistant Unit, in preparing the preliminary assessment reports and involved in the field of research and training programs on child protection and rehabilitation which has helped her in identifying her passion and interest in Human Rights and Criminal justice.
