Tusharika Vig (She/Her)

Tusharika Vig is a recent graduate and legal professional with a BA LLB (Hons) degree from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. Tusharika is an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and is driven by a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact in the world. Through her legal expertise, Tusharika wishes to contribute to creating a just and equitable society. She is extremely passionate about Human Rights and Criminal Justice and has various articles and papers to her name in the realm of labour laws, women and child rights. She is currently working as a Junior Legal Associate with Equilibrio Advisory LLP.

She has had the privilege of working with initiatives that have shed light on the injustices faced by various marginalized populations particularly women and children. She has associated with many NGOs and worked for Social Welfare organisations where she actively researched on women-centric laws such as The Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971, The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, etc. Tusharika has also associated with many Litigation chambers across Delhi NCR and Bengaluru and seen the laws operate in practice. These experiences have further fueled her commitment to driving change and fighting for making the lives of women and children better.

To gather more insight into the field of women and child rights, Tusharika has completed several certifications like ‘Feminism and Social Justice’ from University of Southern California, Santa Cruz and ‘Children’s Human Rights- An interdisciplinary introduction’ from University of Geneva. As part of her degree, she has also completed a dissertation on the theme ‘Secondary Victimization of Women and Children in Sexual Offences: Critical Analysis of the legal framework in the Indian Criminal Justice System’.

In her association with Equilibrio Advisory, Tusharika contributes by assisting the Associates with Inquiries under the POSH Act, conducting legal research and writing articles and case summaries for the firm’s website.
