Adv. Prerna Murarka (She/Her)

Junior Associate, ​ External Member & Trainer (POSHequili)

Prerna is an MSc. International Relations graduate from the London School of Economics. She also holds a B.A.LL.B. from ILS Law College, Pune. Her core areas of focus include interdisciplinary legal research, international law, gender justice, and human rights. Previously, she has contributed to strategic litigation efforts and critical advocacy work concerning human rights violations in Türkiye through a London-based think tank.  

Prerna endeavors to explore the intersection between law, policy, and society in advancing equality and addressing discrimination. Prerna holds a diploma in Human Rights, and has completed a course titled ‘Women, Gender and Law’, jointly hosted by the University of New South Wales, Australia, and ILS Law College. Her research has focused on key feminist legal issues including the PoSH Act, FGM, and the criminalization of marital rape. At LSE, she deepened this engagement through coursework on Feminist Approaches to International Law, Gendering International Relations, and Feminist Foreign Policy. 

Prerna brings a nuanced understanding of feminist legal frameworks, a strong research acumen, and a deep commitment to promoting social justice and systemic reform through the law.
