3. Who should the POSH Annual Report be submitted to?

The report must be submitted to the employer and the District Officer and copied to Women and Child Development Department.

4. By when should the POSH Annual Report be submitted?

The Annual Report must be submitted on or before 31st January of the following calendar year (subject to state-specific timelines).

5. Is it mandatory to submit a report even if no complaints were received?

Yes, a “Nil Report” must be submitted even if no complaints were received during the year.

6. Does the POSH Annual Report require disclosure of names or personal details?

No. The report should not disclose names or identifiable details of the complainant, respondent, or witnesses.

7. What happens if the POSH Annual Report is not submitted?

Non-compliance may attract penalties under the POSH Act, including fines and other regulatory action.

8. Can the POSH Annual Report be submitted online?

Except for the Gurugram Annual Report, all other annual reports are required to be submitted in physical copy.

9. Is filing on SHe-Box sufficient, or is physical submission also required?

Yes, Physical copies are mandatory.

10. How should records related to filings be maintained?

A copy of the submitted Annual Report, acknowledgment receipts, and supporting documents should be securely retained as part of POSH compliance records.
