I - LEGAL UPDATES

The Rajasthan High Court
emphasized the necessity for
Internal Complaints Committee (IC)
inquiries to be impartial and adhere
strictly to established protocols. It
underscored the importance of
providing the defense with a fair
opportunity during disciplinary
procedures.

The Delhi High Court emphasized
the need to protect victims from
prejudice and retaliatory complaints
in sexual harassment cases. It found
procedural irregularities in the
investigation against Dr. X and
ordered the formation of new
committees, reinstatement of the
petitioner, and allowed the Petitioner
to file defamation case.

The Delhi High Court ruled that an
accidental touch, even if unwelcome,
does not constitute sexual
harassment. Despite the petitioner’s
allegations of physical confrontation
and derogatory remarks by
Respondent, the court upheld the
Complaint Committee’s decision,
citing procedural correctness and
lack of sexual intent.

diagnostic requirements for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The rise in
rate of diagnosis is the effect of greater research on BPD. BPD is often
misunderstood and misdiagnosed. To mobilize awareness, the month of May is
observed as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Awareness month.
