It builds safety, confidence and body respect — at home and in school.
At Child Safety at Work, a vertical of Equilibrio Advisory LLP we believe open, honest conversations lay the foundation for safer childhoods. We help Parents and Schools and other organizations on how to have these conversations with children, so they become an empathetic future generation.
Your body deserves care, not constant evaluation.

Many women learn to view their bodies through external standards. Shift from “How do I look?” to “How do I feel?” Focus on strength, rest, and nourishment. Your body isn’t a project—it’s your partner.

🫶 Save this for days when your inner critic gets loud.

In Women’s History Month, we spotlight the Matilda Effect the erasure of women’s scientific contributions. From Lise Meitner to Marthe Gautier and Irawati Karve, this pattern persists. Did you know that Autumn Durald Arkapaw has just made history? This groundbreaking cinematographer, known for her incredible work on Sinners, has become the first woman to ever win the Oscar for Best Cinematography!

Her achievement is even more remarkable as she is also a Black woman, highlighting a significant moment for diversity in the film industry. Before Autumn’s win, a mere three women had been nominated in this category, starkly revealing the persistent gender gap in technical crew roles on film sets.

Having lensed major mainstream projects such as Marvel’s Loki and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Autumn Durald Arkapaw is not just a trailblazer, but a powerful beacon of visibility for women in cinematography. Her recognition at the Oscars is a crucial step forward, paving the way for more women and diverse voices to be celebrated in the technical aspects of filmmaking.

Curious Cat:
What is the link between menopause and dementia?

Answer:
A significant UK study has revealed a compelling connection between menopause and changes in the brain. Researchers found that menopause is associated with lower grey matter volume in key brain areas responsible for memory, focus, emotional regulation, and decision-making. Notably, these are the same regions often affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

This extensive study, utilized a vast UK Biobank dataset, included nearly 125,000 women, with approximately 11,000 undergoing MRI brain scans. Scientists suggest this finding could be a crucial piece of the puzzle explaining why women, on average, face a higher risk of dementia than men. Professor Barbara Sahakian highlighted the overlap with brain regions impacted by Alzheimer’s as further support for this theory.

Moreover, this study underscores how much more research is needed regarding menopause, memory, mood, and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It brings awareness to how menopause can affect the mental health of menstruators. The message is clear: seeking help should never be stigmatized.

Furthermore, experts recommend lifestyle choices that can help mitigate dementia risk in female bodies. This includes increased physical activity and limiting the consumption of substances like tobacco and alcohol.
Here’s all the tools you need to build safe and equitable workspaces! Drop us a Hey, to get started!
